Launched in 2024, Mane Stream is the student-run media platform of the University of New Haven’s Communication, Film & Media Studies Department. Serving as a creative outlet and professional launchpad, Mane Stream showcases student-produced content including short films, news stories, podcasts, and multimedia projects. Our mission is to amplify student voices while providing real-world experience in content creation, storytelling, and digital media production. From script to screen, our students lead every step of the process—gaining the skills, confidence, and portfolio they need to thrive in today’s fast-paced media landscape.

Paul Falcone teaches courses in film and media production and mentors students through hands-on creative projects. He is a filmmaker, media producer, educator, and seasoned visual storyteller with extensive experience across audio, video, television, and film. Over the course of his career, Paul has produced feature films, short films, documentaries, television programs, and commercials.
His students’ work has earned numerous accolades, including Best Student Film awards and multiple University Awards for Excellence from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
A former lighting designer for the University’s Theater Department, Paul brought professional-level artistry to stage productions, using light to shape atmosphere, mood, and focus.
He is widely recognized in the international film community as a respected festival juror and industry participant, with involvement at major events such as the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto, Montreal, Milan, New York, Seattle, and New Haven. He holds an MBA and continues to be an influential presence in both the classroom and the field.
